Faith Formation

Simply put, faith formation is the process of becoming more like who God intends us to be, a process that informs, forms, and transforms us into disciples of Jesus Christ. Faith formation in the Christian church encourages us to:

  • Grow in our relationship with God throughout our lives;
  • Live as disciples of Jesus Christ at home, at work,  and in the world;
  • Develop an understanding of the Bible and our faith tradition;
  • Deepen our spiritual life and practices;
  • Engage in service and mission;
  • Relate the Christian faith to life today; and
  • Participate in the life and ministries of the faith community.

Christian Faith Formation at CPC is supported by the Christian Faith Formation Ministry Team and includes a variety of opportunities for learning and growing in faith for all ages that are highlighted in the Learn section of our website:

  • Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults are held Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. in various locations throughout the church buildings.
  • On-demand learning, or Faith Formation 24-7 (including our own online portal) is available at anytime.
