Music

Music is a very significant part of the worship and education experience. There are many opportunities available for people of all ages to make a joyful noise! All music for worship services and special presentations is planned by the Director of Music, Ed Yasick, and our Ministers with the help of the Music and Worship Ministry Team to further enhance a meaningful worship experience.

If you would like more information about getting involved in the music ministry at CPC, please contact Ed Yasick.

Chancel Choir, a mixed adult (SATB) choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. for fellowship and rehearsal in Room 108.

The choir sings at the 11:00 a.m. service, with opportunities for smaller ensembles, quartets and soloists at the 8:30 a.m. service.

Youth Choir is for young singers from 2nd through 5th grade and rehearses most Sunday evenings from 5:15 to 6 p.m. in Room 108.

The Youth Choir sings in worship one Sunday each month through the school year.

Our Instrumental Ensemble brings a variety of wind instruments together for special musical offerings at Christmas and Easter services. Small groups may accompany the choir or provide additional music in worship.

Pianists and other solo instrumentalists are always welcome to play for hymn sings, help with children’s choirs or substitute when the Director of Music is away.

CPC has two vocal ensembles that participate in worship during the year.

Grace Notes is a four-part co-ed a cappella ensemble that focuses primarily on spiritual and upbeat worship music.

Sister Act‘s repertoire includes three and four-part women’s arrangements of traditional and contemporary sacred music.
